We love this place…really pretty during the day and REALLY dirty during the night!! The best of both worlds.
Day one we headed off to the Heineken Brewery…even though it isnt brewed here anymore it still was fun!!! And we got free beers and 
bottle openers so no-one left complaining!! During the day we decided to check out the Van Gogh Museum…very cultured I know!! This was actually amazing and housed the largest collection of Van Gogh paintings in the world!! As with the castles that went inside we weren’t allowed to take cameras inside youll just have to close your eyes and imagine!!
That night we went deep into the depths of Amsterdam…the red light district!! This was a real eye opener. I hang my head in shame as I report that we both witnessed a Live Sex Show….theres nothing more I can say about this. Then we had a quick tour around the Amsterdam ‘windows’!! This tour included a walk down ‘freak lane’ with larger and shorter than life charaters and also down an alley-way that only fit two people across and windows all down the side!! Very un-nerving!!
The next day we decided to brave the wet weather and hopped on a bike and headed on a bike your of the city!! This was a great experience as everyone in Amsterdam is on bikes..so it was good to join them in the mayhem!! This tour ended with lunch and beers as we cruised down a canal!! Then it was back to the nightlife for a last night!!
All in all our short but amazing stay in Amsterdam was well worth while!!
