Today was the day we started a tour of the Greek Islands…and to begin the morning we got up bright and early as we were checking into a Hotel!! Thats right a real hotel with towels, choccies on the pillow and a decent breakfast!! No more hostels for us…well for a week anyway!!
On arrival to our luxury 3 star (3 star is luxury to us on this trip!!) and were all hot and sweaty from lugging our bags across town. Its amazing how often we get hot and sweaty…maybe we need to find a laundromat again already??!! The shower was bliss…it was in our room!! No more shared showers for us!! Oh the high life!!
We spent our first day in Athens getting our bearings and looking for some ATMS to get out some much needed cash!! Jordans card got blocked. Thanks HSBC!! We had to spend about 10 pounds on the phone call to get it unblocked!!
That afternoon we headed to the Athens Flea market for a quick look around before meeting up with our new tour leader and group for the next 7 days as we go Greek Island hopping!!
We have to admit it…we had Maccas again for dinner. Damn those cheap 1 euro meals!! Before heading to a chocolate shop to buy some treats!!
We decided to call it a night and planned to check out the rest of the shopping tommorrow….
