The trip coninues this morning with a hearty breakfast. And the daily routine kicks in of Breakfast, Doing nothing, attempting to have a shower (they were TINY and dribbled water!), swimming and eating the BEST lunches we’ve had for a long time!
Today we headed to the town of Korkula, the birth place of adventurer Marco polo! We spent much of the day on the boat just outside of the town – as the port did not allow us to enter till the late afternoon! We didnt complain and spent the day lazing on the deck chairs and swimming the day away! It doesnt get any better than this!
Finally we made our way to the port – and decided to head into the town to check it out. It was very small – but had a typical Croation market complete with typical Croation products…beach gear! We walked by the birth place of Marco Polo – and as expected it was a regular building with a irregular door charge! We walked on by and got dinner with friends….
That night we had heard of a bar that sits in a tower….called the Tower Bar…clever. Health and Saftey once again played a big part in this bar – as to get to the top floor – you had to climb a ladder! I would advise anyone not to have too many cocktails at this bar! The climb back down would be awkward! The cocktails were great though – and tasted even better when you saw the journey they had made. Being made in the bar and travelling up a pully system up the side of the tower, to us thirsty drinkers!
As the morning has its routines…we found the evenings did as well, in the form of drinking….
