Today we werent feeling the best. We had little sleep and too much drink. And awoke in the same place.
The Vrgarda had broken down!
We decided to walk off the hangovers as we waited for the boat to get fixed – it was VERY hot and we ended up sitting in the shade on the boat as it stayed docked.
Later that morning we did finally head off to our first location of the afternoon. A fantastic beach/sand bar that stuck into the ocean. The wind had really picked up at this time and the boat was rocking – but we were all determined to swim to the beach and have a rest! We all jumped in the sea and were instantly hit by waves as we swam ashore. Its only when we got there that we realised….somehow we have to battle this swim and get back to the boat!
This is where is began…Jax was sensible as she steamed off up the current of the waves and then let the strong force take her back to the front of the boat to hop on. Meanwhile, jordan struggled…not the strongest swimmer anyway! He made it to the boat…but sadly was on the wrong side. Before long a wave came and pummled him and another swimmer into the side of the boat…things didnt look good. While grabbing onto the porthole of the boat – he couldnt take much more and called for a lilo. It kept him a float which was a start – but still the water was just to powerful. The current swept him to the back of the boat – where he managed to grab onto the row boat and struggled to pull himself around.
He did make it – but felt worst for wear. After the bang on the side of the boat – this could have been lethal! Lets put it down to experience!
We rested the rest of the day as we headed into a small fishing village of Brac for the night…
