Jordan and Jaxs World Tour

Yesterday we continued our travels around the States, once again hopping on a Greyhound Bus and making our way to Atlanta Georgia! Having once again scoring a FANTASTIC bargain on Hotwire.com, we checked into the Sheraton Hotel in Downtown Atlanta for UNDER $50 per night! Can’t complain!

Atlanta is home to some great tourist spots including the home of the CNN News Center, the birthplace of our favourite drink Coca-Cola, and for the housing the world’s largest aquarium! Today we decided to swim with the fishes and head to the Georgia Aquarium!

Upon entering the massive entrance, we were blown away by the sheer size of the building, and hoped that we had planned to spend enough time here! Exhibits included a look at the fish from Georgia, with a recreation of the Mississippi river flowing over the ceiling. The touch pool was a favourite, as it gave you the chance to stroke Sting Rays and Sharks as they swam on by – and in case you’re wondering, Sting Rays were slimy and Sharks like sandpaper!

The Tropical Diver section featured all the tropical fish you could imagine – the aquarium here featured a wave that crashed on the roof of the glass enclosure, with thousands of Tropical Fish inside.

The last section was the biggest of all – and awarded the worlds largest aquarium! The reason of the size was because of the 4 Whale Sharks that swam around the tank…they were HUGE! Along with them were thousands of fish – we spotted a Hammer Head Shark, Swordfish, Manta Ray, Sting Rays and so much more! It was truly an amazing site!

We soon headed back tour hotel and decoded to make the most of the good hotel at a cheap rate – and had takeaway dinner! This is living…and for a great price!
