Offically the Laziest Day of the trip…

24 08 2008

We really dont know what happened today. We woke up…attempted to check out the small Croatian town of Pag. But soon we got tired and went back to bed. The last 2months of travelling must have caught up with us as we felt we didnt have the energy to do anything.

In all respect though, the town we were in wasnt busttling with activity – but still it wasnt like us to be lazy while on holiday.

That said, today was BLISS! Nothing but sleeping….

We did feel guilty by the evening and joined some others on the rooftop of the hostel for a BBQ while watching the sunset over Croatia. We all pitched in and got some meat for the Hamburgers and the ladies fought over wether we should add the Feta cheese to the Salad. Nothing better than standing back with a beer and watching the action. Jordan was VERY excited this evening – as he made a trip to the supermarket for a beer run and rejoined us load with 1.5 Litre Plastic bottles of beer! The looked like Cocacola Bottles. We really hope they were legit – as then cost the eqivilant of about £1.50! Bargain!

I love Croatia – but tommorrow it was time to leave…headed for Slovenia!

Our own Eastern Trek…

23 08 2008

We were off on a brand new adventure today – checking out the sights of Eastern Europe and heading up through Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and making our way to Prague!

This morning we met with some other travllers and jumped on a bus bound for another lazy day in Croatia… We headed off to the island of Pag. This is in fact a island but so close to the Croatian Coast that you cross to the island by a bridge!

The day was mainly spent travelling up through the Coatian Coast to the island – where on arrival we we checked into our hostel/home for the next two nights! The town we settled down in was Novalja – a quiet fishing type village – with a bustling beach 10 minutes away by bus complete with Super Clubs etc…

That afternoon we decided to check out the beach – even though today was very overcast and not the warmest. The summer season was on its way out already! Summer was too short!
We lay on the beach for a couple of hours, listening to the music and crazy DJ’s in the clubs on the beach front and watching the crazy tourists jumps off the Crane Bungjy Jump…amazing!

That night we met up with some new friends and headed out to a nice resturant for dinner. Before walking through the village and checking out the night market complete with our fave Nutella Crepes…shame we so poor now and still have over a week and a half until we return to London! After not enjoying a Crepe – we headed back to the hostel…
