Merry Christmas 07!

23 12 2007

Can you believe its Christmas…and can you believe we’ve been away from home for 3 months!! Time really does go fast!!

This week has been frantic – as we both work in retail we have been getting some very stressed out shoppers!! This weeks customer list for Jax includes Posh Spice and David Beckham!! Currently the Spice Girls are playing at the O2 Arena in London and she must have had some time to shop at Harrods!! Im not so lucky – all we get trhough our store doors are drunken crazed lunatics – very amusing though!!

Very excited about our plans for Christmas – tommorrow morning we are catching a bus to Luton Airport and jetting off to Paris (im hoping the fog stays away!!) I hear its very cold in Paris at the moment – so heres hoping for a white christmas!! We havent planned to much during our stay apart from our dinner plans at the world famous Moulin Rouge for Christmas dinner!! Apart from that we’ll wander the Champs-Elysees and catch the Arc de Triomphe (one block from our hotel) and head down to the Lourve and catch the Effiel Tower!! Im sure we’ll have plently of things to do.

Until next time have a great Christmas!!

Disneyland Paris!!!

10 12 2007

Well its been a while since our last update – and that’s because we’ve been in Paris!! Last Sunday we jumped on the Eurostar and headed off for 3 days at Disneyland Paris (not before finding ourselves in Belgium of all places – its a long story but involves us jumping on the wrong train!!)

Anyway we finally did find ourselves in Paris – and were quick to put our jackets on as it was freezing!! The park looked amazing though – Christmas lights everywhere!! And the rides were just as fantastic!!

Over the three days (or two and a half thanks to Belgium!!) we completed both Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios – both fantastic parks with awesome rides including Space Mountain 2 – where they shoot you out of a cannon!! And Jax fav was ‘Crushs Coaster’ (from Finding Nemo) which was just amazing.

The parades and shows were also a hit – including Mickey and Minnie on ice…the Disney Parade with Santa being pulled by real Reindeer…the Lighting of the Park and Castle each night and the Disney Fantaillusion parade (floats covered in Christmas lights!!) we’ll hopefully have a video on the way with some of the highlights of the parade – including when it hailed!! Like snow…only sore!!

Our time at Disneyland Paris was amazing and well worth the visit – we would highly recommend it!
