Its been a hectic couple of days, with lots of packing, no internet, no TV and saying goodbye to lots of old `junk`that we had accumulated while in Toronto. While we were able to send a suitcase home to New Zealand to meet us, we did also have to sacrifice lots as well!
Over the last couple of days, we have come to the realisation that we enjoy hoarding, or is it just that we like to keep stuff `just in case`.
It was a sad day though as we said goodbye to our beloved pairs of shoes, the same shoes that left with us from Auckland Airport over two years ago on this trip! A large hole was starting to make them impractical,as it was letting water into the sole, and made wearing socks pointless.
Why were they so hard to throw out? All the memories that we had with these shoes! They walked the Kenyan Plains, around the Pyrimids or Giza, the beaches of Greece, the Vatican City and also rode with us on rollercoasters at Disneyland. To make a long list short, they came EVERYWHERE with us!
Im sure we are not the only ones! Im sure you have a travel item that would be hard to throw out! Be honest! What is it?
For us though it was time for a new pair of shoes to fill there spot for our next adventure, the will be remembered….
